Privacy policy

This page is not final yet. The structure below is settled and each section names the data the platform genuinely collects. The wording still needs counsel, and the contact details need a named officer and address before publication.

1 · Who is responsible for your data

AI Drama Planet Sdn. Bhd., registered in Malaysia, decides how and why your personal data is processed on this platform.

2 · Account data

When you create an account we hold your name, your email address, and a hashed password. If you later apply to become a creator, we also hold the country and phone number collected at that point.

We use this to run your account, to send the one verification email, and to contact you about your account or a copyright matter. We do not sell it.

3 · What we record while you watch

The app sends viewing progress and periodic heartbeats while an episode plays. Each record ties an episode to your account with a timestamp and a position.

This exists for three reasons: to resume an episode where you left it, to count whether an unlock was valid for the creator revenue pool, and to detect automated playback. Heartbeats are the mechanism by which a creator gets paid, which is why we cannot make them optional.

4 · Device identifiers and fraud

We record a device identifier alongside unlocks. It lets us tell one real device from a farm of emulated ones, and it protects the revenue pool from being drained by fraudulent unlocks that pay out at every honest creator's expense.

5 · Advertising

Episodes are unlocked by watching an advertisement served by Google AdMob. AdMob collects its own data when it serves and measures an advertisement, under its own terms — including an advertising identifier, and the signals it uses to decide which advertisement to show.

6 · Creator verification

Creators applying to publish submit identity documents so that we can verify who is being paid and meet our obligations before making a payment. These documents are held separately from the rest of the account record, are seen only by the people who review applications, and are never shown on any public page.

7 · What is never public

Public drama pages show a creator's chosen display name and nothing else. No account name, no email address, no identifier of any kind appears in the page for anybody to read.

8 · Your rights under the PDPA

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act you may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to stop processing it in certain circumstances, and complain to the Commissioner.

9 · Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we publish a new version with a new date. Where a change materially affects how your data is used, we tell you in the app before it takes effect.
